Even
when the Bears win, they screw up something and in this case it is the
celebration. In case you didn’t notice Marion Barber decided it was an
awesome idea to do a back flip after he scored a touchdown in the Bears
34-29 victory over the Panthers on Sunday. Well, it might have been an
even more awesome idea if Marion Barber could do a back flip. Check out the
video after the jump to see what I mean.
Dude just planted right on
his face. Now I might just be old fashioned but doing a back flip isn’t
probably the smartest idea for a guy who has just missed the first three
games of the year with a calf injury, but who am I to say. At least the
refs had pity on him and didn’t flag him for excessive celebration, for
going to the ground in celebration or whatever the stupid anti-fun rule
the NFL has in place is. I guess a team can only get flagged once in a
game for doing poor, junior high, gym class tumbling routines as end
zone celebrations. And since they already flagged Hester earlier for
doing three somersaults in the end zone, well then Marion Barber was
allowed to do a 330 degree back flip.
