Yahoo Sports - The mother of Miami Heat basketball star LeBron James(notes) was arrested by Miami Beach police after she reportedly assaulted a valet worker because it was taking too long to have her car delivered.
Police said Gloria James had a strong odor of alcohol on her breath and her eyes were bloodshot when officers arrived at the hotel about 4:47 a.m. Thursday.
Police said several witnesses supported valet worker Sorel Rockfeller’s account of the alleged assault.
Gloria James was taken to the Miami Beach Police Department, where she was issued a Promise to Appear on charges of simple battery and disorderly conduct. A police report says she was released to Miami Heat executive Steve Stowe.
Gloria James pleaded no contest to DUI and other charges in 2006.
And you though your mom was embarrassing? Lebron is just minding his own business, trying to become an "global icon, partying in Miami, and buying parts of English soccer teams (Liverpool), and his Mom is always just stealing the headlines. I mean she already has a DUI under her belt and now she is drunkenly attacking valets because they didn't get her fast enough. She must have been in a rush to get another DUI. Oh yeah, and there is that whole, she may have had sex with Lebron's former teammate, Delonte West rumor. It almost makes you feel sorry for Lebron, but then you remember he has more money than god and is a certified asshole. I guess he has just been cursed with a crazy mom to balance that all out. And she is definitely crazy if she banged Delonte West. Dude is ugly as fuck and an absolute lock for my inaugural NBA All-Ugly Team.
